We are offering the possibility for school classes or other groups to perform practical experiments in our molecular biology laboratory. We are able to provide lab space for up to 32 participants per course. However, for more sophisticated courses we suggest not to exceed 24 participants.

Please choose experiments from Courses, which you feel suitable for your school class or group. Also choose 2 or 3 alternative days from our Schedule, when you would like to visit our lab. Your application should include the course you want to book, the number of participants, the name of your school etc. and should be sent to:

Teachers should have participated in a Teachers' Training course before. This is to get familiar with the experiment and to know how to prepare the theoretical course content in school.

Usually we will start the courses at 9.00 a.m. with a S1 safety briefing and a short introduction into theory and practical aspects of the experiments.

Participants work in small groups of 2 people and do the experiments independently. Assistance is provided throughout the course by instructors. It is very important that the participants will see their own results at the end of the courses.

The course fee covers the material costs and ranges from 2 to 10 € depending on the experiment (please look at Courses). We are asking teachers to collect the course fees in advance and hand them over to the course instructor.
